Details
In front of you is a roulette wheel featuring 37 sectors, each labelled with a different number.
Numbers in red include 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 12, 14, 16, 18, 19, 21, 23, 25, 27, 30, 32, 34, and 36.
The black sectors are numbered 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 11, 13, 15, 17, 20, 22, 24, 26, 28, 29, 31, 33, and 35.
The green sector is marked with the number 0, often referred to as “Zero.”
On the European Roulette table, you can place Inside Bets on any of the numbers from 0 to 36.
Additionally, there are special betting areas for Outside Bets and Spoken Bets, offering a variety of ways to engage with the game.
Inside Bets
- Straight Up Bet - This bet covers only a single number on the roulette wheel. Place your chip directly on the number you wish to bet on.
- Split Bet - For this bet, choose two adjacent numbers. Your chip should be placed on the line separating these two numbers on the betting layout.
- Street Bet - Also known as a three-number bet, this involves betting on a horizontal line of three numbers. Place your chip at the left edge of the row of numbers you’ve selected.
- Corner Bet - This bet covers four numbers arranged in a square. Position your chip at the intersection where the four numbers meet.
- Line Bet - Betting on six numbers that span across two horizontal rows. Place your chip at the junction of the two rows on the left edge of the numbers.
Outside Bets
- Dozen Bet - This bet covers one of three groups of twelve numbers: 1 to 12, 13 to 24, or 25 to 36. You can place this bet on the designated areas located on the left side of the numeric table.
- Column Bet - This bet involves selecting a vertical column of twelve numbers. To place this bet, position your chip on the special area at the bottom of the game table designated for column bets.
50/50 Bets
In European Roulette, you can place several specific types of bets with nearly 50/50 odds. These bets are lost if the ball lands on the “0” sector and include:
- Low or High Bet: The betting field is split into two groups: numbers 1 to 18 are considered low, while numbers 19 to 36 are high.
You place your bet on either the low or high section, predicting which group the next number will fall into.
- Even or Odd Bet: This bet involves choosing either even or odd numbers.
Your wager is placed on one of these categories.
- Red or Black Bet: Bet on either all red or all black numbers.
Place your chip on the corresponding colour to cover all numbers of that colour.
Spoken Bets
In European Roulette, you can place so-called Spoken Bets, which cover multiple numbers at once.
These bets are made using a special area known as the “track,” located on the right side of the table.
The track displays numbers in the same sequence as they appear on the wheel, offering a different layout compared to the main betting area.
- Voisins (0/2/3 Series): This bet covers numbers 22, 18, 29, 7, 28, 12, 35, 3, 26, 0, 32, 15, 19, 4, 21, and 2.
Chips are placed as follows: one chip for each pair (Split Bet) on 4/7, 12/15, 18/21, 19/22, 32/35; two chips on the Street Bet for 0-2-3; and two chips for the Corner Bet on 25-29.
- Zero Spiel: For this bet, four chips (or multiples thereof) cover numbers 12, 35, 3, 26, 0, 32, and 15.
Place one chip (Split Bet) on each pair: 0/3, 12/15, 32/35, and one chip (Straight Up Bet) on 26.
- Tier: This bet includes numbers 27, 13, 36, 11, 30, 8, 23, 10, 5, 24, 16, and 33.
Chips are placed as: one chip for each pair (Split Bet) on 5/8, 10/11, 13/16, 23/24, 27/30, and 33/36.
- Orphans (Orphelins): Covering numbers 17, 34, 6, 1, 20, 14, 31, and 9.
Place one chip (Straight Up Bet) on 1 and two chips (Split Bet) on 6/9, 14/17, 17/20, and 31/34. Note that number 17 is covered by two pairs.
- Neighbours (Numbers and Their Neighbours): This bet involves five chips covering a specific number and its four adjacent numbers on the wheel—two to the right and two to the left.
For example, betting on “33 and its Neighbours” would include numbers 20, 1, 33 (centre), 16, and 24.
